Mr. Amaro is based in GSF Advisors' San Francisco area office where he has focused on technical tax structuring and business negotiations since 1996.

Mr. Amaro has been involved in structuring solutions in numerous domestic and cross-border finance transactions.  Clients have included public utilities, distribution, generation and transmission rural electric cooperatives, tax-exempt entities and multinational corporations.  Mr. Amaro has played an integral role in over $3.5 billion of cutting edge transactions, including the first of its kind lease financing of several electric distribution systems.   He also has extensive international business experience, including efforts in the People's Republic of China and SE Asia negotiating and establishing joint ventures.

Prior to undertaking his current responsibilities, Mr. Amaro spent six years in Hong Kong, PRC, as Executive Vice President and in-house counsel of a private investment group.  Before moving overseas, he was associated with a Bay Area law firm and with the San Francisco tax department of a Big Four accounting firm.

Mr. Amaro is married and the proud father of 10 year old triplet daughters and a 9 year old son. He enjoys traveling, golf and coaching basketball.  He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida (B.S.) and the University of Puget Sound (now Seattle University) School of Law.  Mr. Amaro is member of the Washington and California bar associations. Mr.  Amaro is registered as a General Securities Representative with the FINRA (Series 7 and 63).
