Mr. Michael J. Cross joined GSF Advisors at the company's inception with over twelve years of international investment banking and financial advisory experience. He has been involved in the development and execution of over $7 billion of infrastructure financings including leveraged leases, project financings and portfolio sales. As one of the leading experts in the field, Mr. Cross has designed, developed and executed several new innovative financing structures for a variety of clients. In addition, he has been involved in raising private equity investment capital for small to mid-sized firms, as well as counseling clients on start-up debt and equity capital, including project financial modeling and evaluating strategic business issues.
Prior to joining GSF Advisors, Mr. Cross was a Director at Dexia - Global Structured Finance (formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers - GSF). His primary responsibilities included economic structuring and transaction execution of large-ticket lease financings, with a focus on domestic infrastructure and real estate.
Mr. Cross started his career at Generation Ventures Associates (GVA) where he was a Manager responsible for training and oversight of financial analysis for all GVA international energy investment projects, including the construction and maintenance of multi-currency financial models. He also coordinated client equity sponsor financial analysis with various lender groups including export credit agencies, commercial banks, private placement investors, international development banks and other multi-lateral lending institutions.
Mr. Cross received his B.S. degree in Finance and Investments, summa cum laude, from Babson College. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society.
