Mr. DeCarlo, co-head of GSF Advisors' New York office, joined the firm in February, 2005 with 25 years of experience in the equipment leasing and lending arenas. Mr. DeCarlo heads GSF Advisor's investment advisory business where he is responsible for advising equity investors in various equipment leasing and other tax-based transactions.
Mr. DeCarlo's expertise in managing and negotiating these highly complex transactions was developed initially as a Vice President and transaction manager for GE Capital, where he lead and managed over
$1 billion of investments in leveraged and single investor lease investments as well as secured loans for commercial aircraft. He later became a Director at Philip Morris Capital Corporation, one of the largest leveraged lease investors in the U.S. There, he lead a team of four professionals responsible for sourcing, structuring and negotiating over $1.5 billion of leveraged lease investments for aircraft, real estate, power facilities and manufacturing equipment.
Over the past twelve years, Mr. DeCarlo worked for one the largest lease advisory firms, where he was in charge of maintaining relationships with the lease investor community. In this position, he syndicated over $40 billion in equity transactions for clients of the firm. He also advised equity investor clients in over $4 billion of transactions. Mr. DeCarlo is one of the most active lease equity advisory professionals in the industry.
Mr. DeCarlo received his B.A. degree in Finance from The University of Connecticut. Mr DeCarlo is registered as a General Securities Representative with the FINRA (Series 7 and 63).
